An opening celebration and ribbon cutting ceremony will be held at 10:00 a.m., on Friday, August 9, 2019, at the new Head Start Center. The multi-Chamber ribbon cutting ceremony will feature ambassadors from Fayetteville, Springdale, and Rogers-Lowell Chambers of Commerce. Tours of the new center will be available following the event.

The EOA Old Farmington Road Head Start Center is a partnership between Economic Opportunity Agency and Fayetteville Public Schools. The Center will provide early childhood education to 33 children under the age of five. EOA also operates six additional Head Start Centers in Washington County.

EOA is a community action agency with the mission of "empowering children and families to learn, connect, and succeed.” Enriching the Northwest Arkansas community since 1965, EOA's primary programs provide services to young children and families living in poverty. By administering programs designed to address the roots of poverty through a strategic multi-generational approach, EOA connects low-income families with the tools to achieve financial stability and break the cycle of poverty.
