Artosphere Festival Adds Space Photography Competition

As part of the 10th Annual Artosphere: Arkansas' Arts + Nature Festival, Walton Arts Center is launching a space photography competition.

With a $30 entry fee, photographers may enter up to three “space-themed” photos. To correspond with this year’s theme of Artosphere, photographers are encouraged to submit work in reference to their perception of space and how space inspires wonder, imagination and innovation. Entries are due April 19.

Rebecca Drolen, assistant professor of photography at the University of Arkansas will judge the entries. Photographs selected will be exhibited in Walton Arts Center and across the Northwest Arkansas community throughout the Artosphere Festival, June 10-29.

Three photos will also be selected for a community choice competition. These photos will be voted on via social media and in-person at community events June 1-9, and the winner will be announced June 10.

The Artosphere Festival celebrates art, music and nature with exciting performances, activities and events that the whole family can enjoy.
