Mullikin Agency Celebrates 25 Creative Years

A full-service advertising, marketing and public relations company in Springdale celebrates an important milestone this month. The Mullikin Agency turns 25 years old in February. Owner Randy Mullikin praises his staff of dedicated employees as well as his long standing clients as the two reasons behind his company’s success over the years. Mullikin says, “Long term relationships with our clients and the ability to surround myself with a team of employees who are experts at what they do are two of the reasons behind our longevity in the business.”

Julie Magnuson, vice president with the agency since the company opened in 1994 says, “I can’t believe it’s been 25 years. I think the reason for our success is the attention to detail and the excellent service we provide to our clients. We have built great relationships over the years and that has been an invaluable asset.”

The entire staff offers in-depth experience in electronic, digital, print, broadcast, outdoor, transit and trade publication advertising, media planning, research, placement, design, website and logo creation and promotional items and services.

“When I was growing up and working at my Dad’s service station in southern Iowa from the age of 12 to 18, he taught me to work hard, provide good customer service and quality products for our clients. Those ingredients are still the same for me today. The Mullikin Agency has never wavered from the four cornerstones our business was founded on in early 1994: Quality, Creativity, Service and Results. Those ideas fuel our company mission of using quality ideas and services to create amazing advertising and promotions that gets awesome results for our clients. In honor of their 25th year in business and serving Northwest Arkansas and the region all these years, the agency created a poster which contains a number of fun facts such as The Mullikin Advertising Agency has sold more than 20 million promotional items, printed over 3.5 million business cards, created 200 logos, printed over 2,500 brochures and rack cards, produced more than 10,000 radio and TV spots, raised over $1 million for area non-profits and volunteered more than a 1,000 hours of community service.

“We have been honored through the years with awards and citations of excellence, but one of most meaningful was from the City of Springdale in 2015. We were the first recipient to receive the “Community Partnership” award from Springdale Mayor Doug Sprouse. At the time he thanked our agency for our countless hours of volunteerism through the years to make a difference in the lives of those who live in Springdale. This is such an honor to receive an award for our company's involvement in the community and volunteering of our time to make our city a better place. Each one of our employees has participated in "Merry Christmas Springdale" for the past ten years. The event is a “thank you” event for our city employees and public servants to make sure they are appreciated each year for the work they do for Springdale. The outpouring from the entire business community has made this event so successful. It has been said "one act of kindness can change the world" and we just want to be a small part of changing our part of the world for the better. We have always given back to our community, and it is at the very core of our company values.”

The Mullikin Agency has been responsible for creating some of the most successful and memorable advertising promotions in Northwest Arkansas over the past 25 years including Harps “Little Old Lady” campaign which Harps called the most successful campaign in their company’s history. “The results of working with The Mullikin Agency have been very rewarding,” says Huey Couch, Former Advertising Manager for Harps Food Stores.

The company also specializes in special projects, such as handling the advertising for the University of Arkansas and ORT transit systems, sponsorships at the ballfields in Springdale and the Springdale Kiwanis “Kid’s Day Football” event.

I always had the drive to become an entrepreneur and I’ve always had a passionate desire to help others be more successful, but getting to work with some of the best employees on my team through the years and getting to work with many of the best companies in Northwest Arkansas has exceeded my wildest expectations.
