Did you know one of the region’s largest architectural and engineering firms has a new address? pb2 architecture + engineering, a full-service firm with a national practice, recently relocated in Rogers from Ajax Avenue across Interstate 49 to West Pauline Whitaker Parkway in a new office building in The District at Pinnacle Hills. Doug Hurley, AIA NCARB, the company president and owner, will share some of the details in the next Northwest Arkansas Business Journal. Another collaboration with Black Duck Partners and pb2 architecture + engineering in Springfield IL. This club combined 5 separate tenant spaces into one fantastic new Planet Fitness . This strip center presented multiple unique challenges as we terminated aerial and underground electrical services, upgraded 5 existing tenants’ gas services , ran a brand new water service, and a new sanitary main through the parking lot without interrupting the day-to-day operations of the surrounding businesses. As always, we could not do it without the help of our trade partners who go the extra mile to be sure not just our clients, but their neighbors enjoy a smooth ride to the finish line. #teamwork

Thrilled to share our latest project milestone at pb2 architecture + engineering in Northwest Arkansas! In collaboration with Creative Office Works who helped install the moss wall and living green walls, we've adorned the space with vibrant plants, elevating the interior design to new heights. These green elements not only complete the space but also infuse it with a refreshing ambiance. Following large-scale disasters, such as earthquakes or tornadoes there is a need to assess damaged buildings for safe occupancy and continued use.  This week, pb2 architecture + engineering hosted a CalOES Post-Disaster Safety Assessment Program training seminar. The CalOES Post-Disaster Safety Assessment Program training reviews the criteria, process, and procedures for performing safety assessment of structures in a post-disaster scenario, including the placards and forms. It also covers the program features of deployment, workers compensation, and immunity from liability, along with other emergency management features that help students see how the Safety Assessment Program fits into the overall disaster response. In conjunction with Arkansas Division of Emergency Management (ADEM), Doug Hurley, pb2 President, lead the training seminar of 17 that included architects, structural engineers and building plan reviewers.
