Outback Steakhouse Presents Donations to Teachers for Teacher Appreciation Week

Outback Steakhouse visited area schools May 9 and donated items for teachers in honor of Teacher Appreciation Week.

More than $1,000 worth of food and gift certificates went to teachers from Rogers Pre-Kindergarten Center and Lingle Middle School. Food items included sirloin steak, quesadillas, coconut shrimp and cheesecake.

Outback’s Rogers location, at 4509 W. Poplar St., regularly donates to local events and charities. Each restaurant also donates food to a local CARE Community Center company-wide.

“I love supporting the Northwest Arkansas community because it’s something I am very passionate about,” said Managing Partner Ericka Dolby, who took over the restaurant in November of 2017. “Working for Outback Steakhouse gives me an opportunity to give back to someone in one way or another who may not always have the means to treat themselves to a night out. It is great to be a part of something that makes a difference in someone else’s life, no matter how small it may seem. As a company, we are able to feed thousands of families who may otherwise be hungry.”

Dolby strives to interact with each customer and tries to get to know them on a personal level.

“I am in the business of making every person’s day better that I encounter. Figuring out how I can do that on a day-to-day basis is a challenge I accepted the minute I took over this restaurant.”
