High-Flying Fun Swings onto the Walton Arts Center Stage For One Night Only

Canadian contemporary circus troupe Cirque Éloize presents Saloon, a musical acrobatic adventure, at Walton Arts Center on Tuesday, Feb. 19 at 7 p.m.

Tickets range from $26 to $49 plus applicable fees. Patrons can also purchase reserved parking in the Spring Street deck for $7. Tickets and parking can be purchased in-person at the Walton Arts Center Box Office, by calling 479.443.5600 or by visiting waltonartscenter.org.

Inspired by the rich legacy of the Wild West, Saloon transports audiences to a dusty gathering place. Swing open the Saloon doors and rustle up some fun for the entire family with this musical and acrobatic adventure. Eleven performers will blow audiences away with circus moves including aerial straps, hand-to-hand acrobalance, cyr wheels and the Korean plank.

“Saloon is a wonderful playground for this work of artistic exploration. It’s also a place of opportunity, one that made us want to try something different,” said Jeannot Painchaud, president and artistic director of Cirque Éloize. “It has the physical energy of acrobatics combined with the poetry of the theatrical approach, punctuated with humor and accompanied by amazing live music. Saloon is bright, funny and musical.”

Saloon mixes country music from legends including Patsy Cline and Johnny Cash with more festive, folk-inspired compositions. There are four musicians and singers on stage, and all the artists sing or play instruments in addition to their acrobatic feats.
