Waitress Brings Something Sweet to Walton Arts Center

Waitress brings a “little slice of heaven” to Walton Arts Center for a limited eight-show engagement April 9-14, and now patrons can learn how to make pie-inspired cocktails during a special add-on experience.

Patrons with tickets to the 8 p.m. performance on Saturday, April 13 can add on a 6:30 p.m. Craft Cocktail Class for $35. Led by Steven Idlet, master mixologist from Maxine's Tap Room, patrons will learn how to mix pie-inspired cocktails.

Tickets include a history of pie-inspired cocktails, tips and tricks on how to make them, light appetizers and two cocktails that you will mix yourself. The class will end in plenty of time for patrons to make the evening performance of Waitress. You must be 21 or older to participate in this class.

Show tickets, reserved parking and Craft Cocktail Class tickets can be purchased in-person at the Walton Arts Center Box Office, by calling 479.443.5600 or by visiting waltonartscenter.org. Select the class from the calendar, cart the tickets and you’ll be reminded to add tickets for the Saturday evening performance of Waitress to complete the transaction. If you’ve already purchased tickets to the Saturday evening performance, you can still add on the cocktail class here.

Inspired by Adrienne Shelly's beloved film, Waitress tells the story of Jenna - a waitress and expert pie maker, Jenna dreams of a way out of her small town and loveless marriage. A baking contest in a nearby county and the town's new doctor may offer her a chance at a fresh start, while her fellow waitresses offer their own recipes for happiness. But Jenna must summon the strength and courage to rebuild her own life.
