All-Star Cast Announced for National Tour of Falsettos at Walton Arts Center |

Falsettos recently announced the Tony, Drama Desk and Grammy award-winning cast for their national tour which includes Nick Adams, Eden Espinosa and Max Von Essen. Walton Arts Center will host the cast and crew for a week of technical rehearsals leading up to two preview performances on Friday, Feb. 8 and Saturday, Feb. 9 at 8 pm. Tickets start at $38 plus applicable fees and can be purchased in-person at the Walton Arts Center Box Office, by calling 479.443.5600 or by visiting waltonartscenter.org. Patrons also can purchase reserved parking for $7 when they purchase their show tickets. Written by James Lapine and songwriter William Finn, Falsettos tells the story of Marvin, who leaves his wife for his lover, Whizzer; their son, Jason; their therapist, Mendel; and the lesbians neighbors next door. All told as the specter of AIDS begins casting shadows on them all. The original production won Tony Awards for the score and book, and the 2016 revival was nominated for four Tonys including Best Revival of a Musical. Adams, who plays Marvin, starred in the Tony-winning Broadway musical Priscilla Queen of the Desert which earned him two Broadway Audience Choice Awards, an American Theater Hall of Fame honor and an Astaire Award nomination. Espinosa, playing Marvin’s wife Trina, will be most recognized for her critically acclaimed portrayal of Elphaba in Wicked on Broadway. Von Essen, who plays Whizzer, is finishing a starring role in the Broadway production of Anastasia. He is also known to audiences for his portrayal of Henri Baurel inthe award-winning production of An American in Paris, a role that earned him nominations for the Tony, Drama Desk, Outer Critics Circle and Grammy awards. Falsettos will hold technical rehearsals for the opening production of their national tour at Walton Arts Center a week before performances start. This is the second technical rehearsal and preview performances of a national tour hosted by Walton Arts Center this season, and the tenth national tour launched from Walton Arts Center since 1997.
