Arkansas Public Theatre to present JESUS CHRIST SUPERSTAR in February 2019

Arkansas Public Theatre (APT) will present JESUS CHRIST SUPERSTAR by Andrew Lloyd Webber and lyrics by Tim Rice, on February 8-10, 14-17 and 21-24, 2019.

The first musical by Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice to be produced for the professional stage, Jesus Christ Superstar has wowed audiences for over 40 years. A timeless work presented again at APT with a modern, mixed media approach, the rock opera is set against the backdrop of an extraordinary and universally-known series of events but seen, unusually, through the eyes of Judas Iscariot. The iconic 1970s rock score contains such well-known numbers as “Superstar,” “I Don’t Know How to Love Him” and “Gethsemane.”

Curtain time for Thursday thru Saturday performances is 8 p.m. with Sunday performances at 2 p.m. Doors and Concessions open at 7:00 p.m. Cabaret Seats are $39/per person or $68/table (includes 2 individual seats) and Balcony Seats are $28/per person. Group discounts for 10 or more guests are available by contacting the Box Office. Tickets may be purchased on the APT website at www.arkansaspublictheatre.org or at the APT Box Office at 479-631-8988. All performances will be held at the historic Victory Theater, 116 S. 2nd St. in Rogers.
