Leon Bridges with Special Guest Jess Glynne Performing at the Walmart AMP May 1

Leon Bridges with special guest Jess Glynne will perform at the Walmart AMP May 1, 2019 for their Good Thing Tour as part of the Cox Concert Series. The event is presented by the Walmart AMP in partnership with Live Nation.

Tickets start at $35 and go on sale November 16. View more information at amptickets.com.

In 2015, Leon Bridges’ first album, Coming Home, surprised the music industry by debuting at No. 5 on the Billboard Top 200. Only months prior, he had been playing sparsely attended open mics in Dallas-Fort Worth after work washing dishes at a local restaurant.

In a span of three years, Coming Home would take Bridges to the White House to perform for former President Obama, the stage of Saturday Night Live and earn him nominations for two Grammy® Awards including Best R&B Album. The debut album has gone on to sell over 500,000 records (certified RIAA Gold) and has been streamed 350 million times and Bridges now regularly sells out 10,000-person capacity rooms in cities around the world.

Good Thing marks the beginning of another transition for Leon Bridges. If Coming Home anointed him the R&B underdog whose sound was reminiscent of days past, Good Thing is an album firmly rooted in the modern world, with nods to R&B’s storied and varied history. “We wanted to find a way to bring the old sound in a way but evolve it,” Bridges explains.
