Cox Employees Award more than $60,000 to Area Nonprofits

Cox Charities awarded more than $60,000 to area nonprofits this week through its Community Investment Grant program. Cox Charities, which is funded by local employees, is dedicated to positively impacting Arkansans in education, technology, social issues and the arts.

The grants are designed to assist 501(c)(3) organizations with outstanding programs that benefit the Arkansas Cox Communications service areas – Harrison/Berryville/Eureka Springs, Northwest Arkansas and the Fort Smith metro. Funds are targeted toward nonprofit programs that focus on education, technology, social issues and the arts.

“Cox Charities is completely funded and supported by Arkansas employees, who decide how every dollar is invested back into the community,” said Curt Stamp, market vice president for Arkansas. “With more than 300 Cox employees who live and work in the market area, we are passionate about supporting local programs that positively impact the areas where we do business.”

Since 2015, 45 nonprofit organizations have received funding through Community Investment Grants.

This year’s grant recipients include: 7hills Homeless Center, CASA of Northwest Arkansas, Children’s Safety Center, EOA Children’s House, Havenwood, Literacy Council of Benton County, Open Avenues, Ozark Opportunities, Inc., Peace at Home Family Shelter, Reynolds Cancer Support House, Samaritan Community Center, St. Stephen Benevolent Conference, The Gregory Kistler Treatment Center.
