Celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month at Celebrando La Musica

The Walmart AMP is excited to host Celebrando La Musica, a free celebration of Hispanic music, culture and food presented by Walmart.com on Sunday, Oct. 7 from 1 until 5 p.m.

Noel Torres will headline the event, and additional acts will be announced soon. Torres is a Mexican singer/songwriter and accordionist. He has five albums with hits that include “La Guanabana,” “Adivina,” “Me Interestas,” “Para Que Tantos Besos,” “No Andan Canado Venados” and “Viendote Dormia.” Now touring widely in the United States, Torres also appeared as a judge on the Telemundo talent competition show “Gran Oportunidad.”

Maity Interiano, Emmy®-winning journalist, entertainment reporter and television producer for Univision’s network morning show “Despierta America” will emcee the event, which will include food samples, the opportunity to meet the performers and fun family activities in addition to the musical performances.

Tickets for the event are free and can be obtained in person from the Walmart AMP Box Office or Walton Arts Center Box Office or online through the event media partner Univision AR at latinotv.com. Walton Arts Center walk-up box office hours are 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. on weekdays, noon to 4 pm on Saturday and 90 minutes prior to any performance. Walmart AMP walk-up box office hours are 10 a.m. until 6 p.m. on weekdays, noon to 4 p.m. on Saturday.

Tickets can also be reserved by calling 479.443.5600 or by visiting www.amptickets.com.  Online and phone orders are subject to a one-time $5 processing fee per transaction. Patrons can order up to nine tickets in one transaction.
