Susan G. Komen Ozark Affiliate Holding 11th Annual Swing for the Cure October 12 |

On Friday, October 12, 2018 the Komen Ozark Affiliate will host the 11th annual “Swing for the Cure” charity golf tournament. The event will be held at Shadow Valley Country club in Rogers with morning and afternoon flights available.
Swing for the Cure is an 18-hole scramble tournament at the beautiful Shadow Valley Golf course. Participants will enjoy a great day of golf, lunch, hole games, snacks, and prizes. Proceeds from Swing for the Cure will benefit the Ozark Affiliate of Susan G. Komen. 75 percent of the proceeds from this event will be invested in local breast health programs that provide education, screening and treatment assistance to those in need. The other 25 percent of the proceeds will fund breast cancer research. For those who want to support Komen but cannot attend the event, donations can be made either online at www.komenozark.org donate or by sending a check to the Komen Ozark office at P.O. Box 309 Springdale, Arkansas 72764.

The Ozark Affiliate of Susan G. Komen is dedicated to combating breast cancer at every front. Since 1998, Komen Ozark has invested 11 MILLION locally in the fight against breast cancer through community organizations that provide breast health education and breast cancer screening and treatment programs. 75 percent of the Affiliate’s net income goes toward funding grants in the 10 county service area which includes: Benton, Boone, Carroll, Crawford, Madison, Newton, Sebastian, and Washington Counties in Arkansas and Stone and Taney Counties in Missouri. Additionally, The Ozark Affiliate is working for find a cure for breast cancer and has invested nearly 3.75 MILLION in breast cancer research.
