Ozark Beer Company Releases Ozark Lager |
|
Ozark Beer Co.'s newest beer, Ozark Lager, a German-style lager, has begun its canned introduction to Arkansas. A light, traditional and supremely smooth local lager, Ozark Lager is the brewery's 5th year-round can in as many years. "We're excited to offer a local version of the world's most popular beer," says Owner Lacie Bray. Beginning with its nationally acclaimed American Pale Ale in 2014, with its iconic elk logo, Ozark slowly added its Belgian Golden, Cream Stout and finally Ozark IPA into cans over the last few years. "It's important to us to not fill shelves with mediocre beer. If we are asking a business to carry our product, they deserve the most thought-out, intentional and clean beer possible. We simply couldn't offer that if we were to work on too many styles at once," says OBC Marketing Director Marty Shutter. Known traditionally for being clean, crisp and refreshing, light German Style lagers are beginning to see a resurgence in the United States. Lagers typically take more than three to four times the amount of time an ale does, they ferment colder and slower and require longer cold conditioning times to produce their trademark nuances. "For craft beer drinkers it is a refreshing take on a classic style and for those who aren't, Ozark Lager is immediately familiar and drinkable," says owner Andy Coates. The Ozark Lager, now available state wide, is a locally produced lager that is at home on the river, in coolers, on porches and alongside the finest of meals fitting right in with campfires and backyards as easily as it does with a fine chef's dinner. "World class beer at working class prices is what drives us," Shutter says. "The Ozark Lager is a daily drinker, a 'cooler beer' brewed with the same craftsmanship and attention to detail that has garnered OBC international praise for beers like BDCS and the Ozark Double IPA, and unlike those beers, this one is available every day." Ozark is celebrating the release of Ozark Lager with Lager Day on September 9, a family friendly afternoon of games, food and beer in the Ozark Backyard, located at the brewery in Downtown Rogers.
