Arkansas Public Theatre to present SUNSET BOULEVARD – September 14-16, 20-23 and 27-30, 2018

Arkansas Public Theatre (APT) will present SUNSET BOULEVARD music by Andrew Lloyd Webber, book and lyrics by Don Black and Christopher Hampton, based on the Billy Wilder film, on September 14-16, 20-23 and 27-30, 2018.

In her mansion on Sunset Boulevard, faded, silent-screen goddess, Norma Desmond, lives in a fantasy world. Screenwriter Joe Gillis, on the run from debt collectors, is persuaded to work on Norma’s “masterpiece.” Seduced by her and her luxurious lifestyle, Joe becomes entrapped. His love for another woman leads him to try and break free with dramatic consequences. Andrew Lloyd Webber’s Tony Award-winning masterwork of dreams and desire in the land called Hollywood includes lush, swelling standards “With One Look,” “As If We Never Said Goodbye” and “Perfect Year.”

Curtain time for Thursday thru Saturday performances is 8 p.m. with Sunday performances at 2 p.m. Doors and Concessions open at 7:00 p.m. Cabaret Seats are $39/per person or $68/table (includes 2 individual seats) and Balcony Seats are $28/per person.
