Rogers-Lowell Area Chamber of Commerce Launches Chamber Voice of Business Podcast

The new Rogers-Lowell Area Chamber of Commerce Chamber Voice of Business Podcast, presented by AT&T, officially launched in early May featuring four interview-format episodes. Regularly scheduled episodes will deliver insights and guest commentary on topics of local, regional and statewide interest with a focus on Government Affairs, Community Development, Downtown Development and Economic Development. Podcasts are recorded and produced in a new studio (named “Studio 77”) located on the second floor of the Chamber’s offices in Downtown Rogers. Each episode will be moderated and hosted by Chamber staff.

The Chamber Voice of Business Podcast’s four current episodes include: Episode 1Introduction to the Chamber Voice of Business Podcast”; Episode 2Interviews with Arkansas House of Representatives candidates Jana Della Rosa and Gan Nunnally”; Episode 2.1Interview with Arkansas Representative Dan Douglas about the Primary Election; Episode 3Interview with Dawn Stewart, Career and Technical Education (CTE) Director for the Rogers Public Schools"

Raymond Burns, President/CEO of the Rogers-Lowell Area Chamber of Commerce, said, “This new communications tool will allow the Chamber to connect with business members and our community in a way like never before. It’s an excellent example of the Chamber moving forward and making progress on our ‘Chamber 3.0’ vision presented at the Annual Celebration event in February.”

Jon Moran, Senior Vice President of Government Affairs and podcast co-host, said, “This idea is something we have been exploring around the office for the past couple of years and I’m excited to see it successfully get off the ground. We look forward to producing high-quality content that will help our audiences better understand the issues that impact them.”

Podcasting is one of the fastest-growing communication tools being utilized today according to the Edison March 2018 Report on Podcast Stats and Facts. The research cites that 44 percent of the U.S. population has listened to a podcast, and 80 percent listened to most or all of it. Forty-nine percent of podcast listening is done at home and 22 percent in the car. Nielsen’s Q1 2018 Podcast Insights reports that 17 percent (48 million) listen to podcasts weekly – up from 15 percent in 2017, and 16 million people in the U.S. are “avid podcast fans.”
