Invasive Plant Removal- Devils Eyebrow
Saturday, May 12, 2018
Lost Bridge Marina, Beaver Lake
9:00 a.m.- 12:00 p.m.

Consider visiting Devils Eyebrow for the day and removing some pesky invasive cedar trees. Devils Eyebrow is a scenic natural area located in the northern portion of Beaver Lake by the Indian Creek tributary. This area which is protected by the Arkansas National Heritage Foundation supports one of the highest concentrations of rare plant species in Arkansas with several species typically found far to the north and others that are restricted in distribution and considered globally rare. For this reason, your help is needed removing invasive species that threaten the biodiversity of the area! You can help by removing cedar from along the shoreline, which will be recycled into fish habitat in Beaver Lake.

Directions: 12861 Marina Rd, Garfield, AR 72732
Volunteers will meet at the Lost Bridge Marina at 9 a.m. and will be ferried up the lake by the Arkansas Game & Fish Commission. Gloves, tools, water, snacks, and insect repellent will be provided. Be sure to dress appropriately (pants, closed-toe shoes, and long sleeves are recommended).
