Junior At Bentonville High School Organizes Free Makeovers at Highlands Oncology Group For Cancer Patients

Molly Townsend, a junior at Bentonville High School, struggled to recognize her own beauty. After finding Talia’s makeup tutorials on YouTube, Molly once again began to discover her own beauty and love for makeup. Molly began watching Talia on YouTube religiously and followed her story when Talia was diagnosed with cancer.

Talia suffered from neuroblastoma, a cancer found in the adrenal glands. Through watching her videos and seeing how Talia’s confidence grew through her cancer journey, Molly says her own confidence grew. Molly says, “Talia taught me to feel beautiful in my own skin. And that is what my intentions are with this project.”

Molly has always had a heart to help others. She plans to pursue a career in pediatric oncology. Her heart to help and passion for makeup has blossomed into “Makeup Is My Wig.”

On March 23, 2018, Molly and a few of her friends will be at Highlands Oncology Group (808 S. 52nd St. in Rogers) providing patients with free makeovers. Registration is required and can be completed on the Makeup Is My Wig website or by calling 479-544-0581.

This event is sponsored by Don’s Cold Storage in Rogers.
