Mount Sequoyah Hires New Director of Development

Mount Sequoyah Retreat and Conference Center, a nonprofit community center in Fayetteville, Ark., has hired Christina Karnatz as their new director of development. Karnatz offers a diverse background and valuable experience and will lead the Mount Sequoyah team in fundraising and development efforts.

Karnatz has a deep understanding of communication and development strategies, recently working as the associate director of development at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences. Previously she worked extensively in the communication field as a reporter, news producer and co-host at KUAF Public Radio at the University of Arkansas. She has a Bachelor of Science in International Business degree from the University of Arkansas and is expected to attain a Master of Science in Communication degree from Purdue University in 2018.

Mount Sequoyah hosts events, summer camps, weddings, retreats and more on beautiful grounds featuring more than 40 structures. The center offers an alternative to the typical hotel, convention center or event venue. The campus features houses, cottage rooms, historic halls, lodges, a large dining hall, a large swimming pool, a gazebo, outdoor and indoor chapels and more.

Mount Sequoyah Retreat and Conference Center is a staple of the Northwest Arkansas community and looks forward to continuously bringing people together for celebration, education and spiritual transformation.

The center welcomes Karnatz to the team and looks forward to future collaboration.
