Miracles and Magic Radiothon on Magic 107.9 Raises $53,684 for Arkansas Children’s Northwest

The Northwest Arkansas Circle of Friends Chapter hosted the third annual Miracles and Magic Radiothon benefiting Arkansas Children's Northwest on October 5th and 6th. The radiothon raised $53,684 following two days of broadcasting live from iHeart Media stations in Fayetteville.

Magic 107.9 on-air talent Jay Steele, Dawn McCollough and Jim Bodine broadcasted live from the station from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. October 5 and 6. Patients, caregivers and Arkansas Children’s staff were interviewed each day, putting into words the stories of how Arkansas Children’s has delivered care close to home for children in the region. Listeners were encouraged to champion children by making a donation to the hospital or become a “Miracle Maker” through ongoing monthly contributions.

“We are grateful Northwest Arkansas community was moved by these stories,” says Elizabeth Sullivan, with Arkansas Children's Foundation. “It takes community support to create change and the Northwest Arkansas community gave from the heart to support Arkansas Children’s Northwest in a big way today. Thank you Northwest Arkansas for your support of ACNW and putting children in the community first.”

The Miracles and Magic Radiothon was presented by Honda of Fayetteville and made possible by the generous support of Magic 107.9, 4029 KHOG, the iHeart Media family, and the Northwest Arkansas Circle of Friends Chapter. All money raised stays in Northwest Arkansas and benefits Arkansas Children's Northwest.
