Walton College Brings Federal Reserve Representatives to Northwest Arkansas

Walton College has partnered with the Global Interdependence Center to bring a daylong economic conference to Fayetteville on Monday, November 6. The GIC, a Philadelphia-based nonprofit, holds conferences throughout the world to encourage the expansion of global dialogue and free trade in order to improve cooperation and understanding among nations, with the goal of reducing international conflicts and improving worldwide living standards.

The “Central Banking Series: Location Matters in a Global Economy” conference features keynote speaker Chris Waller, Executive Vice President, Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis. Other panel speakers include representatives from the Federal Reserve Banks of Dallas, Chicago, Atlanta, and Kansas City who will discuss credit demand, capital spending, and hiring. Additional panels will focus on global economic topics as well as a local panel on supply chain and retail.
