Arvest Bank donates to Samaritan Community Center

Arvest Bank has donated $12,992.90 and 1,073 canned food items to Samaritan Community Center as part of the bank's annual 1 Million Meals campaign to fight hunger in the four-state area. This year they raised 1,881,283 meals! All  meals were made possible by donations from the bank, Arvest associates, customers, community fundraisers and food drives.

The Samaritan Community Center is a grace-driven nonprofit organization that serves the hurting and hungry of Northwest Arkansas through a compassionate community of staff and volunteers. The programs and services that the center provides include a cafe, dental clinic, garden, market, shop, and social services. The center was founded as the Samaritan House in 1989 through Fellowship Bible Church of NWA to provide clothing to the poor in the community.

Samaritan Community Center has locations in Rogers at 1211 W. Hudson Road and in Springdale at 1300 N. Thompson Ave. Visit them online at samcc.org.
