Razorback Regional Greenway Getting Signage Starting January 30, 2017

Beginning Monday, January 30, the Northwest Arkansas Razorback Regional Greenway is getting wayfinding and informational signs installed.

Over the next 10 days the Greenway will have 55 signs installed along the 37 mile shared use paved trail from south Fayetteville to Lake Bella Vista. These signs include 21 single panel directional, 14 double panel directional, three pedestrian flag, six area map, eight trailhead, one medium kiosk and two large kiosk panel signs.

There are also plans to install five additional large kiosk signs in March.

These signs will provide wayfinding for navigating the Greenway, finding destinations and information about the Greenway. The signs do this by providing directions and distances for destinations and trail connectors along the Greenway. Some signs include vicinity maps and information about the Greenway and local area.

The Northwest Arkansas Regional Planning Commission received grant funds from the Walton Family Foundation to cover the cost of the signs and installation.

The Razorback Regional Greenway exemplifies the spirit and determination of the people of Northwest Arkansas. This 37-mile north-south trail system connects hundreds of thousands of residents to destinations across Benton and Washington Counties, along the way showcasing the best of what our region has to offer. On the Greenway, visitors and residents enjoy safe, free transportation -- making our community healthier, more sustainable and more economically resilient.

From the Lake Bella Vista Trail near the Missouri border to Town Branch Trail in south Fayetteville, the Razorback Regional Greenway links dozens of popular destinations, including six downtown areas, three major hospitals, 23 schools, the University of Arkansas, and the corporate headquarters of Wal-Mart, J.B. Hunt Transport Services and Tyson Foods. The Greenway links entertainment venues, shopping areas, historic sites, parks, playgrounds, lakes and neighborhoods.
