Event Description:
In partnership with the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute, the Museum of Native American History continues its Native Conversations series with a two-part lecture series and Q&A led by Dr. Gregory O. Gagnon, professor of Indian Law at Loyola University and citizen of the Bad River Band of Lake Superior Chippewa. Dr. Gagnon will first speak on November 30 at Drake Field in Fayetteville about the role history and culture has played in the continuation of the American Indian experience in the United States. Then, on December 2, Dr. Gagnon will speak at the museum on the relationship between American Indians, their governments, and the government of the United States. Registration is required for the November 30 event; registrants for the first of Dr. Gagnon’s talks will receive reserved, premium seating at his second talk on December 2 at the museum, which will be free and open to the public.
