Event Description: When you think of autumn, you think of crunchy leaves, pumpkin spice everything, Halloween candy, and cool nights. Do you also think of the library? If not, you should! The Rogers Public Library is having its Fall Celebration Geek event on November 4th! There’s going to lots to jump into; something for everyone! The Children’s library will have autumn themed crafts and face painting all day. From 2:30 to 4:30, there will be a petting zoo and carnival-style games on the front lawn. What better way to spend the day than petting a cute animal or riding a pony? Our annual Cosplay contest will also be underway. Come dressed up and you might win a prize! Contestants can sign up in one of three different categories: beginner, advanced, and group. You’ll have two chances to win! There will be a judge’s choice—where judges will debate and pick. There will also be the People’s Choice where contestants will have their photo placed on the Rogers Public Library Facebook page and the ones with the most likes and comments will win the People’s Choice. The Cosplay contest goes from 10 am – 4 pm. Drop in, sign up, and then explore the rest of the library to see what we have for our Fall Celebration. The winners of the cosplay contest will be announced through Facebook after the votes are tallied. Believe it or not, there’s a lot more that’s happening on this day. We will have board games out for people to play and a local favorite Werewolf Game Master will attend. We will also have local authors and businesses showing off what they offer--like the Anime Café! The Fall Celebration starts at 10 am and ends at 4 pm, with the exception of the petting zoo which will be 2:30 – 4:30. So come visit us on November 4th and have fun!
