About the New Forum
The Women In Public Service Forum is a joint venture between Hustle In Heels and Northwest Arkansas Emerging Leaders. It will take place Thursday, October 4 from 11:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. at the Embassy Suites Northwest Arkansas Pinnacle Ballroom in Rogers.

Come get inspired by a panel of current and former women elected officials (from the city to state level) as they talk about their experiences as women in public service. They will share about their career journeys and encourage more women to participate in public service.

This is not a political event, but rather a chance to hear stories and motivate those seeking to serve.

Senator Missy Irvin
Senator Missy Thomas Irvin is serving her second term in the Arkansas Senate representing Senate District 18, which is comprised of Cleburne, Searcy and Stone counties and portions of Baxter, Faulkner, Fulton, Marion, Van Buren and White counties. During the 90th General Assembly, she is chairman of Senate City, County & Local Affairs Committee and chairman of Boys State. She is vice chairman of Joint Budget Committee (JBC). She holds membership on numerous committees. Senator Irvin was a recipient of the 2011 Arkansas Prosecuting Attorneys Association Advocate of Justice Award. Senator Irvin's political interest began as a presidential campaign volunteer for Ronald Regan in Arkansas. She then volunteered for Sheffield Nelson’s first campaign for governor, and in 1994 she worked in his second campaign as special events coordinator and assistant finance director. In 2000, she worked as campaign manager for her brother, Bob Thomas, in his bid for United States Congress (2nd District). Raised in Little Rock, Senator Irvin earned a Bachelor of Arts in political science, communications and dance from Randolph-Macon Woman’s College in Virginia. She also attended the University of Reading and Oxford University in England during her college career. In 2008, Senator Irvin received a Presidential Award for her volunteer work in the community. In 2010, she was named Coach of the Year by the Arkansas State Soccer Association for commitment to coaching girls recreational soccer. Senator Irvin and her husband, Dr. John Dawson Irvin, have lived in Mountain View for over 14 years. Together they have four children, Allyn, Hennelly, Josie and Ike.

Representative-Elect Nicole Clowney
Nicole Clowney was born and raised in Oklahoma, the daughter of educators who taught her the importance of hard work, compassion and public service. Nicole holds a B.A. from the University of Chicago and a J.D. from Yale Law School. After clerking for Chief Justice Robert H. Henry on the United States 10th Circuit Court of Appeals, Nicole worked for a nonprofit law firm dedicated to children's labor law issues. She teaches at the University of Arkansas and was the founding leader of the Northwest Arkansas group of Moms Demand Action for Gun Sense in America. She lives in Fayetteville with her husband Steve, who teaches at the University of Arkansas School of Law, and her two daughters, Evie and Kit. When she's not teaching or organizing, you can find Nicole relaxing with her family, likely at the farmers' market or public library.

Former Representative and Washington County Judge Marilyn Edwards
Marilyn Edwards has lived in Fayetteville 47 years. She’s an Arkansas native, graduating from a rural community in Johnson County. She’s married to George Edwards and they have two grown children, Denise Edwards Davis and Jeff Edwards. Marilyn and George have three grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Marilyn served 13 terms as Washington County Clerk for a total of 26 years in County Government. She served three consecutive terms as an Arkansas State Representative totaling six years. After leaving the legislature, Marilyn served as Washington County Judge and retired from public service in 2016. She was one of the longest-serving public servants in the state of Arkansas at the time of her retirement.

Rogers City Counselor Marge Wolf
Marge Wolf has put in two years as president of Main Street Rogers, which works to revitalize the city's downtown while maintaining its history and charm. She gives back to her community and has done so for years through a variety of organizations, appointments and efforts. Wolf is also on the board of directors of the local Rotary and Rogers Little Theater and has served on several Rogers-Lowell Area Chamber of Commerce committees. In the past, she worked her way up to CEO of the United Way of Rogers-Lowell and served on Gov. Jim Guy Tucker's Summit on the Prevention of Youth Crime. Wolf was also the first chair of the Benton County Teen Court Advisory Council and was a Benton County Quorum Court Justice of the Peace.
