War Eagle Mill Hosts 5^th Annual Father’s Day Fishing Derby

Rogers, AR – June 18, 2017 – Calling all Dads! Think you can catch the heaviest fish? Or maybe even the smallest or the ugliest? Bring the family out to War Eagle Mill for a unique Fishing Derby this Father’s Day, June 18 from 9am - 3pm. Catch the heaviest, smallest or ugliest fish from the War Eagle Creek and win a special War Eagle Mill prize! This fun event will be going on all day from 9:00 am – 3 pm. Winners announced at 3:30 pm.

Bring the family, fishing poles and bait and try your luck! Prizes include a special Father’s Day Gift Basket, featuring our famous Ensley Fish Fry Mix, War Eagle Mill gear and organic products. Take a break from reeling in all those big catches from the Creek and enjoy all the Mill has to offer inside. Watch the water-wheel-powered mill grind organic corn into cornmeal, shop two floors of tasty products and unique gifts and finally, energize with a hearty breakfast at the Bean Palace Café from 8:30 -10:30 am or enjoy our Father’s Day lunch special of french dip brisket sandwich, potato salad, green beans and corn on the cob from 10:30 am – 4 pm. Top off your visit with a scoop of delicious cobbler and ice cream.

We ask Dads and families to visit our sign up table when you arrive at the Mill and to use fishing poles only. Those 16 and older are required to have an Arkansas fishing license to participate. Children, 15 and younger are not required to have a fishing license. Five fish per contestant will be weighed during the competition.

At War Eagle Mill, we have been rising above the daily grind since 1832. We grind fresh, organic, whole grain daily. War Eagle Mill is located at 11045 War Eagle Road, east of Rogers and Springdale. The bridge is currently closed for restoration, so please use our entrance off of Scenic Highway 12.
