13th Annual Touch-A-Truck presented by the Junior League of Northwest Arkansas

Lowell, Ark., May 3, 2019 — The Junior League of Northwest Arkansas is hosting their 13^thAnnual Touch-A-Truck event May 18, 2019 from 10:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. at the south side of the Pinnacle Hills Promenade Mall parking lot in Rogers, Arkansas. The rain date is set for June 1st. This springtime family festival will be kid-friendly and full-on-fun for all ages. Check out our Touch-A-Truck Facebook page to see announcements and updates.

This year’s Touch-A-Truck will feature a variety of vehicles that kids (and kids-at-heart) can explore. Vehicles you can expect to see include construction equipment, safety and transportation vehicles, motorcycles, tractors, and much more. There will also be special appearances and activities including martial arts performers, the Macaroni Kid, and building projects, just to name a few. In addition to equipment, vehicles, and entertainment, there will be concessions offering snacks, refreshments, shaved ice, and all the tasty treats you would expect to find at a family-fun event.

Tickets are $5 each or $20 per family (max 5 guests per family ticket.) Children under one are free. Guests can purchase their tickets online through the Junior League’s website JuniorLeagueNWA.org /touchatruck or at the event's entrance gate.

Birthday party packages are available now! A birthday party package includes a one-hour time slot at a table under a tent for a group of 12 children, a meal (hamburger or hotdog with chips and a drink) per child, admission fee per child, a tablecloth, balloons, and streamers. The group can enjoy the other events outside of the party area before or after the one-hour time frame. Cost is $100 for up to 12 children in attendance. Additional children are $10 each. Birthday parties are available in one-hour time slots beginning at 9:00 a.m., 10:30 a.m., 12:00 p.m., 1:30 p.m., and 3:00 p.m. Only two parties are available at each time. This year we are featuring a silent hour from 9:00 a.m. – 10:00 a.m. to make our event inclusive to all members of the community. During this hour, sirens and horns will remain off so that children with sensory sensitivities can enjoy the event.

With more than 4,000 in attendance each year, the Junior League’s Touch-A-Truck raises more than $15,000 for the Junior League of Northwest Arkansas to give back to the community. Proceeds assist the League with its mission of promoting volunteerism, developing the potential of women, and improving communities through the effective action and leadership of trained volunteers.
