Central Referral Connection Networking Group Celebrates One Year Anniversary in July
Central Referral Connection meets every Wednesday from 8:15 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. at 216 N. Lincoln St. in Lowell. The networking group celebrates its one year anniversary on Wednesday, July 12, 2017.
History of the Networking Group | The People Behind It
Lowell’s Daylight Donuts - Kelly McCool - has been the donut sponsor from the beginning for this new networking group which began July 6, 2016. The group started out with 13 attendees and was meeting in a small office in Lowell that was quickly outgrown within a few weeks.
Jacque Eakins, Account Executive for the Rogers-Lowell Area Chamber of Commerce, approached Lowell’s Mayor, Eldon Long, and asked him if the networking group could start meeting at Lowell City Hall and he was very welcoming to this idea. Since then, the group has been having a normal weekly flow of attendance between 20-40+ business people.
Rachel Korpella with Korpella Design did the group's networking business card design and donated business cards to help spread the word about the networking group to other networkers. Stan Jackson with Jackson-Young Digital Graphics also did a very generous donation of business cards to help promote the weekly networking event.
Don Young with Profile Consumer Core Marketing provides the coffee and water for the group weekly. He also has committed his time to facilitate this meeting along with Jacque.
The group offers any participants that attend on a regular basis the opportunity to email their logo to be included on a powerpoint slide that is displayed during each week’s event. Many networkers have referrals happen just from the powerpoint slide running weekly.
